Our Story
Cody and Kellsey’s Story began March 22nd, 2018, when a mutual friend of theirs convinced Cody to add Kellsey on facebook. The following day, Cody sent her a “hand wave” via messenger, and that’s when the texting back and forth began. Their mutual friend invited Cody to go out with the group of friends to meet Kellsey on March 24th. That evening Cody walked into the bar where Kellsey was with some friends and was having way too much fun and wasn’t giving him attention at first, but as the night went on they talked a little bit while they played darts with the group of friends. The following afternoon, Kellsey received this message on facebook from Cody and as the conversation continued that evening, Cody made a comment saying “and I’m over here struggling to get a date”. Kellsey kinda ignored it by laughing and continuing their conversation. Cody finally asked when they could see each other again and after a little back and forth, they decided to meet up the following Friday. On March 30th, they went on their first date. While eating dinner together, they decided to stop and have a few drinks at a small bar and continue to talk. Since they were having so much fun, they decided to continue the night by meeting up with some more mutual friends that just so happened to be out and about that evening. Once the night was over and he dropped her back off at home, they shared their first kiss and that’s when Kellsey knew something was special about Cody. She was officially smitten. As the days went on, they both were texting and talking on the phone more and more. on April 12th, 2018, she got on facebook and noticed Cody changed his relationship status to “in a relationship with Kellsey” so it looked like they were facebook offical. As time went on, they started discussing goals together and in March of 2020 exactly two years later, they moved in together. Once they got settled in together, they discussed how they would really like one more child, but didn’t want to wait too much longer. In August 2020, they found out they were expecting! Fast forward to their daughter’s first birthday party. Cody proposed to Kellsey gathered by all their family and friends. Ever since the engagement, they have been busy planning their special day and can’t wait to celebrate with their friends and family on September 14th, 2024.
